It's been quite a while since I've last updated my blog. So much has happened and I haven't had the time.
First of all: My hometown of Joplin, Mo. was hit by a tornado. Thankfully, no one close to me died. It's old news to the media, but here it's still taking some by surprise. The realization of the whole thing just dampens spirits. My family and I have been volunteering and trying to help, but this thing isn't going to go away.
There are people all over Joplin that have literally lost everything, from homes, cars and drivers licenses to loved ones, co-workers, and jobs. It is such a mess. Sometimes, I wonder if we will ever recover.
What's worse, is that there are people who have been going around taking things from the debris that don't belong to them. Looters.
Yeah it is terrible, now all the cancer causing spores that were in the ground have been thrown up by strong wind currents, and have infected a lot of people.
